FAQ

Here we have compiled the most frequently asked questions – along with answers – that we usually recieve. The vast majority concern electronic nautical cahrts and which apps or providers use our data.

Yes, all our special nautical charts and all the harbor maps in the Harbor Guides we have contributed to are available in electronic format. We do not sell these electronic charts ourselves, but we have agreements with all major distributors of electronic charts – Garmin/Navionics, Navico/C-Map, Eniro, and Seapilot. They integrate our data into all of their products. You can read more about the electronic charts here.
If you’ve recently bought a new navigator or updated your electronic charts, you probably already have our data. Otherwise, just bring your memory card to your device and update it at your marine accessories store.

We currently have agreements with Garmin/Navionics, Navico/C-Map, Skippo, and Seapilot. They integrate our data into all of their products.
You can read more about the electronic charts here.

No, that’s not possible. BSB charts only work in navigation software that supports the BSB format.

No, unfortunately our charts are no longer available in raster/BSB format.

We update our charts anually and publish our corrections  as downloadable PDF files. You can find them here. Using these, you can manually enter corrections into your printed charts. We do not print a new edition at regular intervals but wait until the current edition is nearly sold out.
The electronic charts are updated annually, and we provide updated data to the distributors each year. How you update your electronic charts depends on the platform you are using. Many people today subscribe to their electronic charts, in which case they are updated automatically. For a navigator/plotter, you can either update the memory card yourself via your computer, or have it updated at your marine accessories store.
