Privacy Policy
With the introduction of the new data protection law, GDPR, which came into effect on May 25, 2018, we have updated the way we handle personal data and made it even clearer for you what purposes we collect and use customer data for. GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation and replaces the Swedish Personal Data Act (PUL). For you as a customer, this means that your personal data is even better protected and you have more control over how your personal data is used.
What we collect and why
The information we have about you comes from when you visit our website and shop in our online store. We store information about what you click on, what you add to your shopping cart, and what you purchase.
When you place an order, we store your name, postal address, phone number, email address, customer number, and delivery and payment details. If you are a private customer and wish to pay by invoice, our payment partner Klarna requires that you also provide your personal identification number to assess your creditworthiness. Once Klarna approves your payment, we receive your personal identification number from them to verify your identity. You can, of course, also shop with us without providing your personal identification number.
To send you information about your order and, if you have consented, digital communication such as newsletters and SMS, we store your email address and phone number. We need your postal address to deliver your package efficiently. Personal data collected during purchases is also stored for potential future support, complaints, and warranty purposes.
How long we keep personal data
Personal data is stored as long as there is an ongoing customer relationship and in accordance with the consent provided. We do not process customer data older than two years, but for accounting purposes, we must retain purchase history for seven years. If you wish for us to delete your personal data earlier or withdraw your consent regarding digital communication, such as newsletters and SMS, you are always welcome to contact us, and we will arrange it immediately. You can also unsubscribe from our newsletters directly via the link in the email.
Information about how you and other visitors navigate our website and find us is collected via Google Analytics and Google Search Console. This data is stored for 26 months.
Data security
When you provide personal data during purchases, you can always be confident that we handle your information securely. Sensitive information, such as credit card numbers, is always transmitted encrypted (SSL) so that outsiders cannot access it. This information is not stored by us at Hydrographica but is only forwarded to the credit card company. Everywhere sensitive data is transmitted, the transfer is encrypted, e.g., in your account and during checkout. We also work daily to ensure that both we and our systems comply with current security standards.
Although extremely rare, in the event of a data breach, we have clear and well-defined procedures to minimize damage. As a customer, you can rest assured that you will be informed if such an event occurs.
Your rights
You always have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you and to know how and for what purposes your personal data is used. If you do not agree with how we use your personal data, you have the right to object and withdraw your consent. You also have the right to request that we delete all personal data we hold about you. You are warmly welcome to contact us with any questions or concerns regarding your personal data. You can reach us a info@hydrographicastg.keplerhosting.cloud or by phone 0730 – 25 68 09.
